Sunday Celebration 11.21.21

Nov 21, 2021    Dr. Mark Lantz

Join us every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. for energetic worship and an inspiring message! Christian Center's mission statement is "empowering people to reach their God-given potential," and we hope that our services help you on your journey to achieve just that!

Philippians is one of the most endearing of all of Paul’s letters to the New Testament churches.  It is filled with words and phrases of thanksgiving and praise.  It is a very positive book about our thoughts and the peace of God that follows right thinking.  But Paul writes this endearing and positive letter from the worst of circumstances.  He writes his beloved church from a prison cell in Rome with the strong possibility of being executed for his preaching and faith.  Yet, it is in these grave circumstances that Paul never complains about where he is or what he is going through.  Rather he uses this as an opportunity to encourage his fellow believers to be thankful and grateful in spite of whatever they are facing at the moment.  It is this palate of Paul’s exhortation to an early congregation that we paint our Thanksgiving message this morning entitled “Prison Praise”!

Christian Center is located at 530 E. Ireland Road in South Bend, Indiana, and welcomes any who wish to visit!
