We are fast approaching Pentecost Sunday, on which we celebrate the outpouring of the Holy Spirit for the very first time on the early church. But we tend to skip over the time between Christ's ascension and the coming of the Holy Spirit. Jesus was fully aware that the disciples would be waiting for the Holy Spirit for a time. Thus, His last conversation with them is incredibly important.
