Trust Me, I'm a Doctor -- Part 8
In our survey of the book of Luke, we have reached one of Jesus’ most well-known parables: the Parable of the Sower. However, this story might be more accurately be called the Parable of the Soil, because Jesus’ point wasn’t about the sower or even the seed he was planting, but about the soil on which that seed fell. Jesus was forcing His listeners to consider the state of their own heart as they received His Word, and even as we read it today, He calls to us to do the same.
All of us fall into one of the categories Christ gave in this parable when we hear the Word of God. What is the condition of your soil? How are you receiving His teaching? And are you willing to be changed by the Word? Join Dr. Mark Lantz as he dives into this parable in Part 7 of Trust Me, I’m a Doctor.
